1965 Chevrolet C-10
For the 1960 model year, Chevrolet introduced their new line of restyled pickups with a marketing campaign called The New Reliables. Up until this time, pickups were rough riding and had small-ish cabs. The 1960 Chevrolet pickups came standard with torsion spring suspension for a softer ride and wider cab width, making it easy for three adults to sit abreast comfortably. The series ran through 1966.
The 1965 models were very similar to the earlier ones in the series. By this time however, the cab had a straight pillar window and the interior cab had received a refresh. This truck is a three speed column shift with a V8 and stepside box. It’s a third owner truck and since its purchase in 1996, the owner has done an extensive rebuild. This is one of the nicest 1965 Chevrolet stepsides around and pride of ownership shows.
This truck is currently for sale. If you would like to inquire about purchasing, please call the owner direct, Ken (415) 307-8237. A complete list of the restoration is available by inquiring at the museum.
