All Generations Corvette Show at the Murphy Auto Museum.
May 6, 2012. Sunday 10 am to 2 pm.

$10 per adult admission includes entry into Museum.  

Children under 10 free. Military with ID free.

California Car Covers has provided a Golden Shine Car Care Kit for a prize. We are proud to have the support of both the Ventura Corvette Club and Red Line Corvettes. These fine clubs have agreed to display over two dozen of their Corvettes, spanning all six generations. Additionally, the Murphy Auto Museum currently has three generations of Corvettes on exhibit inside the Museum.

We have a satellite exhibit at the Oxnard Downtown Management District Office on B st. across from the movie theater. The display in the window and office floor of vintage bicycles from Mark Llewellyn's collection are making people stop every day to ask where the bikes are from, and where is the Murphy Auto Museum. The exhibit is sponsored by Leon's Transmissions, and is part of the Art Beat program every 2nd Saturday of each month that feature "Art" at different venues downtown Oxnard.

Do you want to test drive some of the newest electric cars without going to a dealership?

The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) is inviting the public to the “Ride, Drive, & Charge” event at the 26th International Electric Vehicle Symposium at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 6 - 8, 2012.

 

The Coda Sedan, Honda FCX Clarity, Mercedes Benz B-Class F-CELL, Mitsubishi Motors i-MiEV, Nissan LEAF, and the Toyota Prius-Plug-In will be available for test drives, as well as vehicles from BYD Motor, GM / Chevrolet, Lyric, Smith, Via and others. Several companies will also demonstrate how to charge electric vehicles, including: AeroVironment, Evatran, Qualcomm Halo, and Siemens. The hours will be on Sunday, May 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Participants can gain hands-on experience with electric vehicles, including riding, driving and learning how to use different types of electric vehicle chargers.

 

Also on Sunday, May 6, the public will also have an opportunity to tour more than 160 exhibits on the show floor at the Symposium.      Click here to see more photos.

 

Public registration for GoElectricDrive Day (including the exhibit hall, workshop and Ride, Drive, & Charge) will be available onsite for $10 for adults and $5 for children (ages 6-18, children 5 and younger are free of charge). You can sign up to drive your EV car on the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway as part of its EV Rally hosted by Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) and its GoElectricDrive.com consumer education initiative.  Sign up on line and $50 will get you parking, gate entrance, dash plaque and the opportunity to drive around the famous race track.

Racing Dreams follows these three young racers as competitors in races organized by the World Karting Association (WKA) — the largest national sanctioning body for karting in North America. The WKA alone boasts 10,000 active members (both youth and adult) and counts 120 tracks worldwide where competitive races are held. Other organizations regulating karting in the United States include the International Kart Federation (IFK) and the Karters of America Racing Triad (KART).
